Weekly acting classes every Monday at Flight Path Theatre, for teens and adults. Inner West Drama also offers kids drama classes at Wilkins Public School, St Peters Public School, St Pius Catholic School and Brighton-Le-Sands Public School.
At Inner West Drama we believe in sharing stories and empowering performers. Our drama classes employ a combination of play and technique which allows us to offer an environment that is rich in learning and development while being fun and accessible. Free of judgement or labels, we provide beginner drama classes that empower students with the tools to make brave performance choices on and off stage.
Our philosophy is based on connection, to the stimuli, to each other and to oneself, which often creates wonderful friendships along the way. We honour the unique, celebrate diversity and welcome anyone willing to take the first leap towards a positive and powerful performance experience.
Adult classes – Mondays 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Through exploring scripts and bringing them to life, we offer a unique approach that suits each individual class. We embrace the variety of skills each particular class brings as we welcome a range of abilities and experience. At Inner West Drama, we believe this approach enhances learning and strengthens understanding of all levels of performance. So, whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned practitioner we want you to take the leap and join us.
Teen classes - Mondays 3:30-4:30pm and 4.30pm to 6pm. So you have a burning desire to perform, an irresistible urge to make up tall tales, you can at times be loud, you love to be the centre of attention, you want to get out of the classroom and onto the stage and you think it would be cool to make some great friends while gaining the skills to give an academy award winning performance. Then we dare you to take the risk and join our classes for 12 to 17yrs olds.
Kids classes – various dates. Develop confidence, ensemble skills and have fun in our playful classes. With so much structure in our children's lives there's little time for flights of fantasy and play. Inner West Drama offers kids a focused space in which they can play imaginatively through games and improvisation. Join in on the fun.
